A friend of mine has just started a blog and asked for some help in getting others to stop by and perhaps leave some comments.
The blog is about how dad’s are getting screwed over by the judicial system and their ex’s when it comes to access and support for their children.
I agree with his cause, but as it was so aptly pointed out by a female friend of ours, this is now also happening to many women.
So, if you are having or have experienced emotional and/or financial pain dealing with issues surrounding access, custody or support for your children – whether you are male or female – I urge you to stop by Is It Dad’s Turn and put your two cents worth in the comments.
I’ve been there (albeit 0ver 30 years ago) but the pain associated with separating and/or divorcing with children leaves an emotional scar that takes time to heal.
I wish back then, others would have stepped forward and offered concrete, reasonable advice I could have used to ease the pain and suffering.
Who knows, if you are in this situation, connecting with others through this blog might be just the medicine you need to get through the difficulty.
Thanks for reading this post.
I will resume normal behavior with my next post to contribute with a more uplifting message.
I want to thank everyone who contacted me – asking what happened to my blog.
For those unaware, the domain name for this blog expired around the middle of January. Only recently I got it back.
My Mom, who turned 94 this month, fell in January and broke a bone in her hip. On top of this, my 3 year old daughter has been suffering through throat infections and colds since January.
Needless to say, my focus was not on the internet, which resulted in my failure to renew the domain.
Then, some how my domain became a portal site for click throughs to insurance companies.
It took a little research on what happens to expired domains, then a few email complaints to my domain registrar and finally after paying a ridiculous penalty, I was able to recover the domain name and get the blog back up.
Again, I appreciate the concern and thank everyone who emailed me.
I don’t know if you have ever heard of Cosmic Ordering, but thought it might be interesting to throw it out there for all you Law of Attraction types who are struggling to manifest your goals.
It is believed to be a POWERFUL method of placing an “order” with the Universe for ANYTHING you want. Then you let it go (release it to the Universe), sit back and wait for the Universe to “deliver” it!
In the early 1980′s I was exposed to some written material which went into great detail explaining how we can easily tap into the “ethereal” and achieve our goals.
I used that process daily and was amazed with my financial gains. Foolishly I allowed my ego to intercede and decided to prove success was the product of my ability to achieve and not the result of sending my requests out to (or tapping into) the ethereal.
For the next year and half, my income more than doubled but I had less to show for my efforts – actually much less. Read more…
